Before the 2011 Wales v Ireland match at the Millennium Stadium, Haydn was presented with a hand-carved wooden baton by WRU President Dennis Gethin (right). On Denis' right are WRU Chairman David Pickering and WRU Chief Executive Roger Lewis, who also took part in the presentation. The award was in recognition of Haydn's musical services to Welsh rugby over many years, and was accompanied by a Scroll.

Haydn's retirement from the London Welsh Male Voice Choir coincided with the retirement of Cliff Morgan as the Choir President. The occasion was marked by a Dinner in London in early March. One of the choristers, Ian Edwards, wrote a tribute to the two men. This can be read at this link "Nobody Does It Better"
He is now a Vice-President of the London Welsh Male Voice Choir as well as being President of the Rushmoor Odd Fellows Male Voice Choir and a Vice President of Morriston Orpheus Choir. He has recently accepted invitations to become a Vice-President of both the Brecon and District Male Choir (Cor Meibion Aberhonddu) and The South Wales Male Choir (Cor Meibion De Cymru); Haydn is also an Honorary Member of the Treorchy Male Choir.
He is continuing his work with the Welsh Rugby Union and as a guest conductor and adjudicator.

Haydn continues to work with a new young male chorus, Eschoir. This semi-professional group already has a number of exciting engagements planned for 2011 and 2012.
Here he is seen conducting Eschoir outside The Millennium Stadium Cardiff before their appearance on the pitch together with Cantorion Colin Jones for the pre match entertainment for the Wales v Italy game.

Haydn was appointed Musical Director for the Aberystwyth Madrigal Choir's 60th anniversary concert held at Gregynog Mid Wales and In March he travelled to Aberdeenshire as guest conductor of the Stonehaven Music Festival.
He was also guest conductor with the Huntingdon Male Choir at the Cornwall International Male Choir Festival in May, and directed them in a concert later in the year.
Haydn conducted his 10th 1000 Voice Choir in June, this time at the Millennium Stadium, rather than at the Royal Albert Hall, and has assembled a choir of almost 2000 voices for Wales' game against Australia in December 2011.
He has recently been appointed chorus master and European Director at the 'London Welsh Choir of the World' to be held in London in July 2012 prior to the Olympic Games.
